System Safety Engineering

System safety engineering aims to create safe complex systems. This is accomplished by identifying, analyzing and evaluating the consequence and probability of undesirable events that can affect systems and reduce them to an acceptable level, so that the operation of the system does not harm people, property or the environment.

System safety analysis is an interplay between analytical methods and the ability to evaluate and present risks and to implement changes in order to make systems more secure. To ensure safe operational operation and use of a system, well-balanced system safety engineering is needed already in the development phase. It also reduces the risk of costly changes at a late stage.

Tapora has thorough experience from delivering system safety engineering and flight safety assessment projects in air traffic management (ATM).
